报告人简介：王琪为康奈尔大学儿童心理学教授及博士生导师，并任社会认知发展研究室主任。她以优异成绩毕业于北京大学心理系，后就读美国哈佛大学心理系,于2000年获哈佛大学心理学博士。王琪的研究集发展，认知，及社会文化的取向为一体，对自传体记忆的发展机制进行深入探查。她对文化因素对自传体记忆的影响做了大量研究，既考查在个体的层面文化因素如何改变自传体记忆的信息加工，又考查在人际的层面文化因素如何影响与记忆有关的社会互动（比如父母与孩子一起分享记忆)。王琪获得很多嘉奖和荣誉，她的研究成果经常发表在一流的心理学期刊，如“认知”，“心理科学”，“儿童发展”，“发展心理学”等。她的学术专著《时间与文化中的自传式自我》最近由牛津大学出版社出版。

摘要： In this presentation, I will traces the developmental, social, cultural, and historical origins of the autobiographical self - the self that is made of memories of the personal past and of the family and the community. By analyzing everyday family storytelling, autobiographical writings in Western and Chinese literature, memory data from controlled experiments in the laboratory, and personal narratives on Blogs and Facebook, I argue that our memories and our selves are conditioned by time and culture.
